QuizWorld does not require an account, upload your quiz history to a developer-operated server, or include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. This policy describes the current QuizWorld app and this policy website.
Who operates QuizWorld
QuizWorld is developed by George Francis. For privacy enquiries, use the contact details in the Contact section below.
Information stored on your device
The app stores quiz results, personal bests, earned coins and preferences, including whether you have seen the introductory upgrade screen, on your device. Results include the category, difficulty, score, time taken and date. These records provide your progress and personal bests and are not sent to a QuizWorld server.
Local progress remains until you reset it or remove the app's data. You can clear saved quiz results and coins in Profile → Settings → Reset Local Progress. Resetting progress does not cancel or remove purchases. Device backups may retain app data according to your Apple settings; manage those backups through your device or Apple Account settings.
Purchases
Optional one-time question packs are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payments and purchase records. QuizWorld uses Apple's StoreKit framework to read verified purchase entitlements, unlock purchased questions and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details or operate a separate purchase-account server.
Apple may process purchase, account and diagnostic information under its own terms and privacy policy. Apple's purchase records are managed by Apple and are separate from resetting local quiz progress.
Analytics, advertising and sharing
The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell your personal data or share it for targeted advertising. We do not receive your quiz history from the app.
Apple may make aggregated sales information and diagnostics available through its developer services, depending on Apple's services and your settings. These are separate from any in-app analytics SDK.
Support enquiries
If you contact us, we receive information you choose to send, such as your email address, message and any attachments. We use it to answer your enquiry and resolve the reported issue. Do not include payment-card information or your Apple Account password.
Support correspondence may be processed by the email or communication service used for your enquiry. We retain it only for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Where applicable, this processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing support or on a legal obligation.
This website and external links
This policy page is hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not add analytics scripts, advertising, cookies, external fonts or embedded tracking to this page. GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address and request details when serving it, under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Question credits link to external source and licence websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices. The app's licensed-question export contains questions and attribution, rather than your quiz history. If you share that export through another app, that app handles the shared file under its own practices.
Your choices and rights
You can reset local quiz progress within the app and control device backups through your Apple settings. We cannot retrieve, correct or delete local quiz records remotely because we do not hold them on a QuizWorld server.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of personal information, or request a portable copy. Contact us about information you have provided in a support enquiry. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office. Contact Apple or GitHub for requests about information they handle independently.
Children's privacy
The app does not ask players to submit a name, email address or profile, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information through gameplay. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the app or our privacy practices change. The published update date will appear at the top of this page.
